MONDAY (7/26)
- Intervention (A&E, 9pm): “A woman battles an eating disorder that is combined with a drinking problem.” Those diet shakes can be hard to digest.
- Rizzoli & Isles (TNT, 10pm): “Jane’s mother (Lorraine Bracco) plays Cupid and arranges a surprise date for her daughter.” She insisted the guy was a good fella.
- James May’s Toy Stories (BBC, 10pm): “The host tries to build a record-breaking model-train track that’s 10 miles long and links two towns.” It’s a train even Ricky Stratton and his father would be envious of.

MONDAY (7/19)
- Behind the Music (VH1, 8pm): “Usher is profiled through interviews and archival clips. The R&B star discusses his relationship with TLC’s Chilli.” I’d hate to say things are still “chilly” between them, but…
- Rizzoli & Isles (TNT, 10pm): “Jane clashes with her new boss (Donnie Wahlberg).” You have to hang tough with that guy.
- True Beauty (ABC, 10pm): Season finale. “The three beauties left are paired with celebrities to party the night away. They then don’t get to sleep it off, but instead must film a commercial about Las Vegas. One player folds like a house of cards from the sleep deprivation.” Beauty sleep is for suckers who can’t afford plastic surgery.

- The Bachelorette (ABC, 8pm): “Ali questions some of the bachelors’ sincerity. Indeed, two of them seem to be as focused on each other as they are on her.” Well, they did they say they came there looking for love.
- The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family, 8pm): “Amy runs into Bristol Palin in her dorm, and soon she realizes the music program is for teen moms.” Palin clearly wasn’t accepted into the program for her actual talent.
- Incredible to Edible (TLC, 10pm): “A couple think they can cook, but their inedible boiled fish and microwaved eggs prove otherwise.” Oh, hold up - you can microwave eggs?

Quote of the Day: Anthony Bourdain Compares Food Network to MTV
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Food & Home, Cable, MTV, Gossip,
“Just like there’s not much music on MTV, there aren’t many chefs on Food Network. Their brand is really, I think it’s clear, not chef-driven. For a period of time, the last thing they wanted, it seemed, was anyone who actually worked in a restaurant or cooked professionally or was authoritative on the subject of food. I think they figured out very quickly that their audience liked to look at barbecue and certain types of foods, particularly familiar ones, that they could imagine sinking their teeth into, so there’s the sort of porn aspect. Then of course, they wanted friendly familiar personalities that made them feel better about themselves.”
-No Reservations’ Anthony Bourdain explaining why he’s not a huge fan of the Food Network. (His show airs on the Travel Channel.)

MONDAY (6/14)
- Little People (TLC, 8pm): “A county inspector pays a surprise visit to Roloff Farms and threatens to shut it down before the start of pumpkin season.” A reopening appears as likely as the Great Pumpkin’s arrival.
- Cake Boss (TLC, 9:30pm): “A cake shaped like a pink hearse is created.” It’s like they say, you’ll end up in what you eat.
- The Real Housewives of New Jersey (Bravo, 10pm): “It’s in the cards that Jacqueline will host a poker night, where Danielle’s ex-flame spills more scandalous gossip.” Thank goodness for staged sex tapes, otherwise these ladies would have nothing to talk about.
